Why Convert PNG to JPG?
PNG to JPG conversion is ideal when you need smaller file sizes for web publishing, email attachments, or social media. JPG files can be 5–10× smaller than equivalent PNGs for photographic content.
How it Works
- Transparency: PNG alpha (transparent) areas are filled with a white background before conversion, since JPG doesn't support transparency.
- Quality control: Choose from 60% to 95% JPEG quality. Higher quality = larger file but better image. 85–90% is the sweet spot for most uses.
- Batch conversion: Convert up to 20 PNG files at once and download them all in a ZIP.
When to Keep PNG Instead
Keep PNG if you need transparency, if the image contains text/logos with sharp edges, or if you need to preserve pixel-perfect quality for further editing.
