What is HEIC Format?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is Apple's image format used by iPhones since iOS 11. It offers better compression than JPEG — storing the same image quality in about half the file size. However, HEIC is not universally supported on Windows, older devices, and many web platforms.
Why Convert HEIC to JPG?
- Universal compatibility: JPG works everywhere — Windows, Android, web, email, and social media.
- Share easily: Send photos to friends or clients without compatibility issues.
- Web publishing: Most websites and CMSs don't accept HEIC files.
- Edit in any software: JPG is supported by every image editor on the market.
How the Conversion Works
Our converter uses macOS's native image processing engine (on Apple Silicon servers) and falls back to ImageMagick when available — so conversion works without any extra software on your part. Just upload and download.
