What Does JPEG to Word Do?
This tool converts your JPEG (or PNG/WebP) images into Microsoft Word (.docx) documents. Each image is embedded in its own Word document at the correct dimensions. If Tesseract OCR is installed on our server, any recognized text in the image is also extracted and added below the image as editable text.
OCR Text Extraction
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) analyzes the image and extracts text it can read. This works best for:
- Scanned documents with clear, typed text
- Screenshots of text-heavy interfaces
- Business cards and signs
- Invoices and receipts (printed)
Handwritten text, artistic fonts, and heavily formatted documents may have lower OCR accuracy.
